The next section of the site you will see live is the Directory section. This is one of the best features I think the site will offer. The vision here is to build a substantial database of Hispanic owned businesses to help alll of us get our names out there.
Interestingly enough, a while back I saw an online directory for members of the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. I went looking for it and now it is gone ... I assume they were concerned folks were getting the names to market to members. I understand this concern. On the other hand, I see a real need for an open Directory where true networking can take place. And that's what ours intends to provide. By the way, if you have an opinion one way or another on this subject, we would love to hear it. |
